Torch Theatre’s Sunset Cinema returns to Milford Waterfront

ON AUGUST 19, the Torch Theatre’s Sunset Cinema returns to Milford Waterfront, a vibrant holiday destination in Pembrokeshire, to showcase Top Gun: Maverick (12A), the new sequel to the iconic movie, Top Gun.
Located at Mackerel Quay, gates will open from 7pm with the film starting when light levels allow. Local businesses including Cheesy Cow and The Scoop Ice Cream Parlour will be open and available to purchase sweet and savoury treats for the viewing.
Lucy Wonnacott, Marketing Manager for Milford Waterfront said: “It is so great to be welcoming Sunset Cinema back to Milford Waterfront! We have collaborated with the Torch Theatre on these events a number of times, and it is always so exciting to offer a unique experience, watching the big screen with the Milford Haven Waterway at Milford Marina as the backdrop. Milford Waterfront hosts successful Street Food Festival

AFTER a necessary two-year hiatus caused by the pandemic, Street Food Festival returned to Milford Waterfront over the weekend (August 5-7) with a variety of outstanding street food traders.
In partnership with Street Food Warehouse, specialists in hosting food events around Wales and the South West, the event offered an epic weekend of mouth-watering food from local, regional and national talents in the street food arena.
The glorious weather and delicious food guaranteed a wonderful weekend for the whole family.
There were dishes and cuisines from all over the world to sample, with something for everyone from North African to Mexican, fresh local seafood, sweet treats and drinks.

The festival hosted 20 of the country’s top street food traders, including authentic paella from The Spanish Buffet; wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizzas from Bare Bones Pizza; classic, oozing mac and cheese from Mac Man; Korean fried chicken, aromatic Thai curries and other pan-Asian favourites from Canoodle; and melt-in-the-mouth halloumi fries from Clark’s Kitchen.
All allergies and dietary requirements were catered for with dairy and gluten free options, plus vegetarian and vegan treats available too.
To wash down all the good food, the team from Freedom Brewery served refreshing craft beers, while the Pop Up Bar Hire Co provided other refreshments from soft drinks to prosecco and a selection of summery cocktails.

As a sweet treat, there were several stands selling a range of desserts, such as brownies, turkish delights and the incredibly popular – waffle on a stick.
Street Food Festival also included a variety of options for those with allergies and dietary restrictions meaning everyone was able to have a great time.
Everyone who attended the event had a wonderful experience – eating mouth-watering food from around the world, sipping refreshing cold drinks, and relaxing in the sun on the Waterfront.

Solva Edge Festival returns after three-year gap

ONE of the top music events in Pembrokeshire is set to take place between Friday, July 29-Sunday, July 31.
Held at a stunning location overlooking the sea, the festival site is on ‘the Edge’ of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path at Solva.
The festival features three days of live music with bands and acoustic sets, along with poets and storytellers.
Headliners include Europe’s Premiere U2 Tribute U2UK, the top 80’s band in the UK, The Wild Boys and Blondied, the tribute to Debby Harry and Blondie. Plus, some of Pembrokeshire’s finest musicians including Honey Fungus, Jodie Marie, and Rosie Cale.

This is a popular community festival which appeals to all ages. There are lots for families and kids, including a bouncy castle, fairground ride, face painting and an escape room. And if you are of that generation, we have tributes to the Bee Gees and Neil Diamond.
With a well-stocked bar with craft beers, ciders, wines and Solva Rum, food stalls for all tastes, bat walks and taster paddleboarding sessions, it’s the weekend of the year to be in Solva.

The party is set for this Saturday 23rd July from 6pm to 2am.
