Help to develop online council services fit for the future
WOULD you like to be track how an issue you have raised with Pembrokeshire County Council is being progressed?
How about being able to message Pembrokeshire County Council services directly through a MyAccount messaging service?
These are among the potential new developments as part of MyAccount, (https://myaccount.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/) the Council’s easy to use online system.
MyAccount underwent a major revamp six months ago based on customer feedback, aiming to make accessing Council services and information simple and convenient while being safe, secure and mobile friendly.
The Council is now seeking feedback on the upgraded MyAccount to understand what has gone well, what hasn’t, make improvements where necessary and consider the priorities for the next stage of development.
A consultation has gone live and includes a short survey and an ideas board for users to make suggestions:

The survey will be live until 30th November.
Pembrokeshire County Council Cabinet Member for Transformation, Cllr Neil Prior, said: “We are kindly asking all MyAccount users to have their say and help us to develop a MyAccount to suit their needs.
“Please share your feedback on the developments so far and your ideas for the future to help us shape MyAccount in a way that meets residents’ busy lives and provides maximum convenience.
“Of course, if you are not yet a MyAccount user you can get started today.
“Follow the guide at https://www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/digital-services/create-a-new-my-account”
The next stage of development for MyAccount is also under consideration.
In the pipeline are upgrades including a MyAccount messaging system to message Council services directly, the ability to track progress of reports made through MyAccount such as broken streetlights and managing and tracking the progress of housing repairs.
Feedback from the survey will help mould future developments.
When MyAccount was upgraded earlier this year, the old MyAccount ceased to be active.
Anyone who set up a MyAccount before 31 March 2021 will be on the old (now defunct) system, so will require a new MyAccount.

Kurtz calls on Labour MPs to back release of Mandelson papers
Opposition motion follows Epstein-linked document disclosures
A SENEDD Member has called on Labour MPs to support a Conservative Opposition Day Motion demanding the release of papers linked to Peter Mandelson’s appointment as the UK Ambassador to the United States.
Samuel Kurtz said the motion follows the publication of new files and photographs involving Lord Mandelson, which were released as part of a United States investigation into the disgraced and convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Speaking out, Mr Kurtz said that during Prime Minister’s Questions, the Prime Minister admitted he was aware of Peter Mandelson’s ongoing relationship with Epstein at the time of his appointment.
“That means the Prime Minister knowingly appointed Peter Mandelson to one of the most important diplomatic roles in government despite his links to Epstein,” he said. “This raises serious questions about the Prime Minister’s judgement.”
Mr Kurtz went on to accuse the Prime Minister of attempting to prevent transparency over the appointment process.
“Now, instead of being open and transparent, the Prime Minister is attempting to block the release of documents relating to Mandelson’s appointment in order to protect his own position,” he said.
He warned that Labour MPs who oppose the motion would share responsibility for withholding information, adding: “If Labour MPs support blocking the release of these papers, they will be complicit in covering up the process and judgement that led the Prime Minister to appoint Peter Mandelson as Ambassador, despite his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.”
