A MILFORD HAVEN man has been jailed after breaching a domestic violence protection order for the second time.

Joel Young, aged 38 and of no fixed address, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Monday, July 27.

The court heard that Young breached an order imposed by Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on July 15 by entering a property in Milford Haven on July 25.

Young admitted the breach.

Magistrates sentenced him to six weeks in prison, saying the offence was so serious because it was his second breach of the court order and had taken place only days after the order was imposed.

The bench said his actions demonstrated a “complete disregard” for the order.

Young was also ordered to pay £292 in court costs.

Marcus Llewellyn will stand trial at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court in September

A PEMBROKE man has denied assaulting a woman at an address in the town.

Marcus Llewellyn, aged 31, of Devon Drive, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Monday (July 27).

He pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault by beating.

The alleged offence is said to have taken place in Devon Drive, Pembroke, on Saturday, July 25.

Llewellyn was released on conditional bail ahead of a trial at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Monday, September 28.

The trial is expected to last approximately three hours.

His bail conditions prohibit him from contacting the complainant, either directly or indirectly.

He must also not enter Tenby before the case is concluded.

The allegations against Llewellyn have not been proven and he remains innocent unless convicted.

Lewis Baker was fined £600 after admitting driving with 52 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath

A VAN driver has been banned from the roads after admitting drink-driving in Johnston.

Lewis Baker, aged 34, of Mostyn Road, Stourport-on-Severn, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Monday (July 27).

The court heard that Baker was driving a Ford Transit on Bulford Road, Johnston, on July 2 when he was found to have 52 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Baker pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while over the prescribed alcohol limit.

Magistrates disqualified him from driving for 12 months and imposed a £600 fine.

The ban may be reduced by 13 weeks if Baker completes an approved drink-drive rehabilitation course by February 26, 2027.

He was also ordered to pay £85 towards prosecution costs and a £240 victim surcharge, bringing the total financial penalty to £925.

The court ordered that the amount must be paid in full by August 24.

Two separate allegations that Baker had failed to surrender to court bail on July 21 were withdrawn. A warrant previously issued in the case was also withdrawn.
