Stephen Crabb’s sex texts to be investigated
PRESELI PEMBROKESHIRE MP, Stephen Crabb, has been referred for investigation by the Conservative Party following his latest ‘sexting’ scandal.
It has been claimed that Mr Crabb sent a young woman sexually explicit messages after rejecting her for a job in his office.
He has been referred to a disciplinary panel set up under a new Tory code of conduct.
A friend of the young woman, who was 19-years-old at the time, said that Mr Crabb was ‘abusing his position’ by sending the messages, with Crabb admitting that the messages ‘basically amount to unfaithfulness’.
The MP said: “I understand the need for all political parties to show they have robust processes in place to consider allegations of harassment.”
Mr Crabb added that he wants the public to understand that ‘no such allegations or complaint has actually been made’ against himself, and that he is ‘happy to co-operate as I believe my name will be cleared of any wrongdoing’.
He has promised to “continue to serve the people of Preseli Pembrokeshire with the same determination” as before.
The disclosure is the second time Stephen Crabb MP has faced allegation of sending explicit messages to a young woman while married. Shortly after he withdrew from the Tory leadership race last summer, it emerged that he had sent sexually charged messages to another woman during the run up to the EU referendum.
In one late-night exchange Mr Crabb, the then Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, told her he wanted to kiss her ‘everywhere’.
Labour’s Philippa Thompson who stood against Conservative MP Stephen Crabb in the 2017 Snap Election is seeking selection again as the Welsh Labour candidate for Preseli Pembrokeshire.
Philippa Thompson said: “I am horrified and saddened by the reports in the national press about our local MP.
“Stephen Crabb has let down the people of this constituency yet again. We need better representation for Pembrokeshire at Westminster”.

Mother admits to killing seven-year-old son in Haverfordwest
A mother has admitted to the manslaughter of her seven-year-old son at their home in Haverfordwest, citing diminished responsibility.
Papaipit Linse, 43, appeared at Swansea Crown Court on Friday (Nov 22), where she denied murder but pleaded guilty to manslaughter in connection with the death of her son, Louis Linse. Prosecutor Caroline Rees KC confirmed the manslaughter plea would be accepted, stating it “did not come as a surprise” to the prosecution.
The incident occurred on 10 January when police were called to a property on Upper Market Street. Louis was rushed to Withybush General Hospital but tragically died shortly afterwards.
During the hearing, Linse, who spoke only to confirm her name and enter her pleas, was informed that she would be sentenced on 13 December. Judge Paul Thomas KC described the case as “clearly a very sensitive as well as a very tragic case.”
The court was told that Linse is currently receiving treatment at the Caswell Clinic, a mental health facility in Bridgend. Psychiatric evidence is expected to be presented during the sentencing hearing to provide further insight into the circumstances surrounding the case.
