Taser deployed during Lidl incident

Lidl Haverfordwest: Taser was used by police
DYFED-POWYS POLICE Tasered a man during a violent incident at Lidl’s supermarket in Haverfordwest on Sunday Morning (Sept 21).
Witnesses saw a man wearing only pyjama bottoms shouting and screaming in the car park of the supermarket at 9.45am and said that the man was agitated, pacing around, and shouting loudly. As police were called the man’s behaviour worsened, resulting in a Taser being deployed.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman told The Herald: “Police received a number of calls on the morning of Sunday 21st September raising concern about the behaviour of a male in Haverfordwest. The male was arrested on suspicion of breach of the peace, however became violent and following a warning a Taser was discharged.”
The police spokesman added: “The male was medically examined and later released on bail pending further police enquiries.”

Community gathers to remember Corrina Baker
Lanterns and balloons released in emotional acts of remembrance
FAMILY, friends and members of the local community came together to remember Corrina Baker at a series of moving events held across west Wales this week.
Corrina’s funeral took place on Monday (Dec 15), a month after her death, with a public service held at St Mary’s Church. Mourners lined the route as her coffin was carried on its final journey in an elegant horse-drawn carriage, before a private cremation later took place at Parc Gwyn crematorium in Narberth.

Later that evening, shortly after 6:00pm, friends and relatives gathered at the Quayside in Cardigan for the first of two acts of remembrance to celebrate her life. Lanterns were lit and released into the night sky above the town as some of Corrina’s favourite songs were played.

On Tuesday afternoon (Dec 16), a second tribute was held near the location where Corrina was found. Twenty-one pink balloons — one for each year of her life — were released into a clear blue sky, each carrying personal messages in her memory.
Floral tributes continue to be laid at the Netpool, while a GoFundMe appeal set up in Corrina’s memory has raised more than £2,300. She has been described by those who knew her as “funny and bright”.
Dyfed-Powys Police have confirmed that their investigation into the circumstances surrounding Ms Baker’s death is ongoing. A 29-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on bail while inquiries continue.

Dont know if this was anything to brag about. Sounds likr the man was vulnerable with mental health issues. The police, especially the younger ones sem to think bashing or tazering vulnerable people is the way forward. I dont think so.

May I suggest that you proof read what you are publishing, before you actually publish, as it can become somewhat confusing.
“A Dyfed-Powys Police told spokesman The Herald” should be; A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman told The Herald.

Gez, until your faced with the decision of tapering someone or not, and without being having all the information from the incident, you can’t judge the police. I’d like you to spend a week doing their job.
Nath, nothing but picky comments from you? Can’t you just leave your childish comments to yourself?
Pffffft

Tom,
How is my comment childish? It is simply pointing out something that the editor has missed, that is all.
You sir, are a keyboard warrior 🙂

Tom I agree with you, pity we don’t have up and down arrows to show our support. The cops have a most difficult job to do, they’re criticised when they do nothing, they’re criticised when they do do something – maybe you meant to “diss” gez george not nath? 🙂

The amount of negative public support for the Police is bad, they do have a crap job to do with (increasingly) bad results .. Now also happening to our Ambulance crews and Firefighters too :/
How’d you mean about the “gex george, not nath” part tomos? … I’m confused lol
