Defendant had ‘nowhere to go’
A NARBERTH man appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates on Monday (Dec 15) to admit breaching his bail conditions. Christopher O’Connell, aged 30 of Garfield Gardens, was ordered by the court not to attend an address in Cox Hill, but went to the address on December 13.
Prosecuting, Nick Newton said: “He was released on conditional court bail on November 5 in relation to an allegation of assault. He pleaded not guilty to that and had his trial is on January 14. “His bail conditions were that he should not contact the witnesses in that case and that she should not attend an address at Cox Hill in Narberth.
“At 8:27pm the defendant’s father rang the police to tell them that his son had attended at his address and said that his son was banging on the door. He would not let him in and he told him to go away. “O’Connell said he had been locked out of his mother’s address, and that he had nowhere else to go. The police caught him attempting to climb over the fence at his mother’s property.”
No further punishment was given and he was released on conditional bail with the same conditions as before.
