Broome at the double as Hakin sweep Milford aside
HAKIN United booked their place in the final of the Joe Lennon Cup on Tuesday (Aug 17) as they beat Milford United 5-1 at The Obs.
Herbrandston won the other semi-final, beating Milford Athletic 6-0 the previous night, and the final will take place on Friday, August 20.
Matthew Broome scored twice for the Vikings while Justin Harding was also on target.
Ryan Wilson and Jayden Chapman also got on the scoresheet for the hosts as they eased into another Joe Lennon final.
Liam Parr grabbed Milford’s only goal of the game but it proved to be a consolation.
The final will take place on Friday, with a 6:30pm kick off.
The Joe Lennon Cup was not played in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic but it was Hakin who won the trophy the last time it was held in 2019.
