A WOMAN has admitted drug-driving after being found over the legal limit for cocaine in Milford Haven.

Veronica Jones, aged 38, of Hakin, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (Jun 16).

The court heard that Jones was driving in Milford Haven when she was found to have a quantity of cocaine and its metabolite, benzoylecgonine, in her blood above the specified legal limit.

Jones pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle with a controlled drug above the specified limit.

The offences related to both cocaine and benzoylecgonine, a substance produced by the body after cocaine use.

The case was heard before magistrates Dr R Talbot-English, S Ley and A Smith.

Jones was sentenced following her guilty plea and disqualified from driving.

The court also imposed financial penalties, including prosecution costs and a victim surcharge.

Drug-driving offences carry strict penalties, with courts treating the presence of illegal drugs behind the wheel as a serious risk to public safety.

A MAN has been banned from the roads after admitting drink-driving and careless driving in Haverfordwest.

Andrew Ash, aged 33, of Spittal, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (Jun 16).

The court heard that Ash was driving on Dale Road, Haverfordwest, when he was found to have exceeded the legal alcohol limit.

A breath test recorded 80 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Ash pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in his breath exceeded the prescribed limit.

He also admitted driving without due care and attention.

The case was heard before magistrates Dr R Talbot-English, S Ley and A Smith.

Ash was disqualified from driving and sentenced by the court following his guilty pleas.

Financial penalties, including prosecution costs and a victim surcharge, were also imposed.

The court heard that the offence took place on a public road in Pembrokeshire, with the level of alcohol placing Ash at more than double the legal limit.

A WOMAN has admitted a series of offences, including assaults on police officers, following an incident in Haverfordwest.

Danni Sandow, aged 22, of Johnston, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (Jun 16).

The court heard that the charges arose from an incident at Bridge Meadow Lane, Haverfordwest.

Sandow admitted assaulting emergency workers acting in the exercise of their functions, including police officers attending the incident.

She also pleaded guilty to resisting or obstructing police in the execution of their duty.

The offences took place earlier this year and involved several officers.

The case was heard before magistrates Dr R Talbot-English, S Ley and A Smith.

The court adjourned the matter for sentencing to allow for the preparation of reports.

Sandow was granted bail pending the next hearing, subject to conditions.

She is due to appear again before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on a date set by the court for sentencing.
